It’s been a while since I’ve been able to post here on Learning and Praxis but here’s a new type of post that I’ve been thinking of providing to you, these are Deals posts. Most of the time when there are deals posted they’re for US which doesn’t translate to us down-under. This first one is a great resource for both pastors and scholars, edited by Scot McKnight and Nijay Gupta. The purpose of this book is to update readers on a variety of topics within New Testament scholarship, allowing the current state of the conversation to be available to those in other specialisations or even in the ministry. I haven’t yet read this book, but it’s on my to be read list. Table of Contents is available on Baker’s page here.
This price is brilliant, Amazon has it available here for $21.81 ($17.91 with Prime or with free shipping). Koorong sells this for $50 currently.

The Hope of Israel is a book that discusses the centrality of the Resurrection of Jesus in Acts. It’s not a book I currently own but it does seem interesting.
The price is currently $20.14 ($16.24 with Prime or free shipping) through Amazon which has a Kindle sample available also.

There are few, if any, issues more contentious than atonement. Wright, Gathercole and Stewart’s volume What Did the Cross Accomplish?: A Conversation about the Atonement currently appears to be approximately half price on Amazon down to $19.14 ($15.24 with Prime or Free Shipping). It’s $35 from Koorong.
